The Confident Equestrian Program

Learn exactly how to help your horse, and yourself, feel more confident and relaxed in ANY environment.

The Confident Equestrian Program (CEP) is a 12-week small-group mentorship experience and online course for horse lovers with spooky, reactive or shut-down horses, or for anyone who wants to set their horse up for success from the start.

You'll learn how to help your horse feel safer without pushing them through anything, with me beside you every week so you never have to guess whether you're getting it right.

The December round begins the week of the 30th of November.

Early bird saves you up to $300 until 12pm AEDT Tuesday the 10th of November (8pm EST Monday the 9th of November), and only four of the private 1:1 sessions with me are left.

[Apply for the December round]

Applications close 12pm AEDT Friday the 20th of November (8pm EST Thursday the 19th of November). Fourteen places across two groups of no more than seven.

You've shown up for your horse again and again.

When your horse is spooky, reactive or shut down, everyone seems to have the same advice: give them more miles, lunge them first, push through it, they'll get over it.

So you try, and your horse has yet another experience of holding it all together while you cross your fingers (and your toes) and think pleeease let today be the day they settle.

Some days they're beautifully relaxed, and the next they're on another planet and you have absolutely no idea what changed.

You've tried different approaches and invested in support, and the results still haven't matched the heart and effort you've poured in.

Your horse has been telling you something all along.

Once you understand what it is, the loose-rein trail ride and the horse who walks across the paddock to meet you get SO much closer.

"Before starting CEP I had a horse who wasn't hard to catch but would just never come to me. People just told me 'that's just the kind of horse he is!' I really didn't believe that and knew there had to be a reason! …

Some weeks into the course he started nickering when he saw me and would come and meet me at the fence, all because I made a few adjustments to our lives and I really started to listen to him and acknowledge how he was feeling."

Michaela, from Australia

You're in the right place if:

  • Your horse is spooky, reactive or shut down, and even after doing your best to address pain, diet and saddle fit, you still feel like something is missing
  • You're so worried about "ruining" your horse that you've ended up doing very little with them at all
  • You're stuck between the way you were taught and the kinder way you want to work, and hours of clinics and YouTube still haven't filled the gaps
  • A fall or a scary moment knocked your confidence, and now you keep finding reasons not to ride
  •  Nobody around you works this way, and you're tired of figuring it out alone
  • Nothing is "wrong" with your horse, or they're young or new, and you want to build a foundation that sets you both up for success from day one

If any of these feel familiar, CEP gives you the tools and the live support to create a different experience for you both.

This is what changed when they found the missing piece.

“CEP was honestly life changing!

I went in wanting to increase my toolkit to help a really cold backed young mare of mine, but the benefits to all my horses is almost unbelievable.

One mare didn't love being caught, she now walks up to me and nickers as I put her head collar on.

Another was tricky to load so I always just took another horse to just make it easier, he now confidently loads and parks while I leave him to do the ramp.

My groundwork was really non existent before, and now all horses are so light to handle, lead, and that carries over into riding too.

This is not just a course for people who don't feel confident around their horses, its a course for absolutely anyone who wants to set themselves up with a skill set that will last for life!”

Sarah, from Australia

“My pony Yorky went from being anxious, reactive and bucking off his riders to being relaxed and calm in most situations and can now be ridden in a neckrope.”

“I have to tell you how much I love CEP! Today me and my pony Yorky went out for a trailride all alone and it was dark outside, but he was sooo calm!...

I could ride him on loose reins all the way and I’m now riding him bitless as well!!

He is also always so happy to see me and always comes to the gate of his paddock when he sees me.

None of this would have happened without CEP!"

Emma, from Sweden

“Had to walk past a gigantic crane/cherry picker with a guy who was cutting tree limbs down. Really noisy, flashing lights, totally alien thing for Will.

He wasn't comfortable, he stopped for a moment and snorted. Then he started walking forwards towards this huge scary thing he's never seen before and we walked past!

Before CEP there's NO WAY we would have been within 200m of that crane, let alone going past it without a meltdown!!!

And he was by himself, no other horses to support him.

I really felt that he trusted me to help him through that situation rather than going into flight mode. It was freaking amazing! Also I didn't get nervous in that situation either!”

Bridie, from Australia

The Plan

Three core modules that build on each other, plus a Practical Application Library for when something specific comes up. You'll learn the what, why and how behind everything you do with your horse, with practical demonstrations so you can see it in action. And the whole course is yours for life.

Module 1: The Principles

Finally understand what your horse has been trying to tell you.

This is where everything starts to make sense. You'll gain a deeper understanding of what influences your horse's behaviour, confidence and willingness, and learn how to create an experience together that feels safer, clearer and more enjoyable for you both.

We'll explore your horse's physical and emotional needs, how to read their body language, strengthen your relationship and understand how they learn, so you can communicate more clearly and teach behaviours in ways that feel ethical, motivating and aligned with you.

You'll also learn how to use reinforcement, shaping, optional food rewards and gentle exposure training to build confidence, navigate challenges and make progress without unnecessary force or pressure.

And because you're an important part of the equation too, we'll explore how your own thoughts, emotions and nervous system influence your experiences together, helping you cultivate greater self-awareness, confidence and trust in yourself.

So you can stop second-guessing yourself, understand the why behind what you're doing and feel empowered to navigate whatever comes up with your horse.

Module 2: From the Ground Up

Foundational groundwork exercises that change how every interaction feels.

This is where the principles come to life. You'll learn how to bring more intention into your everyday interactions, helping your horse feel more relaxed, connected and confident in your presence.

We'll explore mindful approaches, conscious touch, stillness and connection-based exercises before building into foundational groundwork skills that refine your communication, establish healthy boundaries and help you move together with much more softness and ease.

You'll learn how to use your body language, energy, light cues and optional food rewards to create a two-way conversation with your horse, while developing practical skills you can rely on when things don't go to plan.

So you can feel more confident and connected with your horse on the ground, navigate challenges with greater ease and build a solid foundation that carries through into your riding, if or when you choose to ride.

Module 3: Exposure Training

Help your horse feel calm, confident and curious, even when the world around them feels unpredictable.

This is where you'll learn how to prepare your horse for new experiences and environments, rather than simply hoping they'll cope when the moment arrives.

You'll explore a gentle, consent-based approach to exposure training that honours your horse's emotions and helps them develop more confidence around unfamiliar or worrying situations.

Starting with the foundations of approach, touch, noise and movement, you'll progressively introduce different objects and experiences while learning to recognise your horse's comfort levels, respond to their feedback and expand their confidence without overwhelming them.

From there, you'll bring your groundwork skills into the mix, learning how to confidently guide your horse towards, around, past and over different objects, both in stillness and in motion, before carrying these skills under saddle (if or when you ride) and into new environments.

So you can feel more prepared for whatever life throws your way, knowing you have the skills to support both yourself and your horse through unfamiliar situations with more confidence, trust and ease.

The Practical Application Library

For those moments when something specific comes up with your horse.

Think of this growing library as your personal CEP reference guide, helping you apply everything you've learned throughout the program to real-life situations.

Whether you're navigating a particular challenge, wanting to teach your horse something new or preparing for an unfamiliar experience, each guide will point you towards the relevant lessons and exercises within CEP, showing you how to put everything together.

Some guides will include written instructions, others audio explanations or practical video demonstrations, all designed to help you find a clear way forward.

Here's what the library is being built to help you with:

When your horse is worried: Spooky or reactive behaviour · Shutting down or freezing · Defensive behaviours · Separation anxiety

Everyday handling: Catching · Tying up · Standing still · Fly spray · Clippers · Rugging and blanketing · Worming · Standing at the mounting block

Manners and boundaries: Nipping, biting or mouthy behaviour · Pushiness around food · Diving for grass

Out and about: Trailer loading · Navigating challenges away from home · Building confidence in new environments

Young horses and your own confidence: Young horse education · Overcoming your fear of getting hurt

Plus more as the library continues to grow!

The Trailer Loading guide is already available, with more being added over time. You'll receive lifetime access to every new resource as it's released, even after your CEP group experience ends.

So whenever you're unsure what to do next, you'll have a growing collection of practical guidance to help you and your horse find your way forward.

CEP Results

“During the course of few months, Britney has gotten a lot more engaged with people. The horse who never seemed to enjoy scratches, enjoys them a lot now. She comes to the stall door, puts her head over it and waits, when I lean on her door to talk with others.

She is more confident, not getting so tense in everyday situations, like she used to. Little things that used to make her anxious, like putting on the fly spray, don't really faze her anymore. She even seems to be more curious now, not trying to escape from what she thinks are scary objects, but rather she is drawn near them.”

“My horse and I have learned so much and we have finished the program feeling more confident than ever. I can't be happier that I found Felicity and that I gathered all my courage to write her on that day. One little leap of faith and the world changed for Britney and me.”

Katrin, from Estonia

Her dream was to ride Britney bareback. Since completing CEP, she has done that and ridden her bridleless too!

“I took a leap of faith and joined the CEP with the amazing Felicity because I had three young horses and wasn't sure what to do or where to go with them. I wasn't confident in my own abilities to start them myself and was so concerned about 'ruining' them.

I have already achieved so many goals with Felicity's help and have 4 horses who walk themselves into the arena and round yard to train! Cannot recommend this program enough!”

“Your program has taught me so much in regards to horsemanship, building relationships, approaches and strategies for working with a horse from the ground up, but also about myself.

My fairly 'shut down' mare now LOVES her training and is showing more personality than I have ever seen in her. My young little man who has always been skittish and nervous is now the most affectionate and expressive horse out of them all and the relationship I have with him has just grown in leaps and bounds by simply following your groundwork steps.

I wish this course had been an option for me years ago!”

Bec, from Australia

“The ridden sessions have made a significant difference to Lynx and really given him the confidence to deal with situations and things that scare him. It is not only the matter of him getting used to different stimulus, but learning how to react without fear or panic.

The most significant change I have noticed is in myself & my reactions. I was always a fairly fearless rider & would tackle anything, anywhere and had a series of young & flighty horses with no issues. Now in my mid 40's I have found that I am not that same person.”

“We had Western club on Sunday. It was blowing a gale and the other 4 horses there were all nutty so riders were not getting on. Lynx was as calm as anything & did all the lesson activities in a steady & nice frame and did a fantastic dressage test at the end. This is the most calm, willing & soft I have ever had him. The instructor commented how far we have come & how impressed she was. So happy!!”

Wendy, from Australia

Wendy initially worked with Felicity through in-person lessons before continuing her journey inside CEP.

Join the December round of CEP

Twelve weeks of live, small-group mentorship with me, plus the full CEP course to keep for life.

You've probably already spent more than CEP costs on lessons and clinics that fixed one problem at a time. CEP teaches you the principles that let you work through any problem with your horse, and you'll have me working through it with you every week.

You'll receive:

âś” 12 Weekly Live Mentorship Calls, in a group of no more than seven

This is the heart of CEP. Each week you bring your questions, videos, wins and wobbles, horse-related or not, and I help you understand what your horse is telling you and what to do next. With no more than seven women in your group, you'll get real time on your own horse every call, and you'll learn just as much from watching the others work through theirs.

"Tuesday has become my favourite day of the week because the coaching call with our group gives me such a good feeling every time. I've had 6 months of face to face groundwork lessons with an instructor prior to joining CEP and my progress was slow compared to CEP (and I never actually learned how horses learn)."
CEP Member

âś” Your Personal Pathway

Before the round begins I read your intake form myself, so I'll know your horse's history and what you're hoping for before we've even met. From the first call, your support is built around where you and your horse are actually starting from.

"Past CEP student here and it's VERY worth it. Huge shifts in my horses. NOT like other online courses. Felicity will workshop your issues with you individually and quickly."
Kristie, from Australia

✔ The Full CEP Curriculum, Yours for Life

Video lessons and practical guides across all three modules and the Practical Application Library, with real demonstrations wherever you need to see it done. Work through it at whatever pace suits your life and your horse, and come back to it whenever a new horse or a new challenge turns up.

âś” Private Slack Community

A private channel just for your group, for the questions that can't wait until the next call and the wins you'll want to share the moment they happen.

"The CEP community has given me knowledge and confidence within a like minded group. I feel empowered, never alone, never judged, always encouraged and embraced."
Kellie, from Australia

âś” Six Months of Call Replays

Every call is recorded. If you miss one or want to rewatch the moment something finally clicked, it's there for six months.

The next round starts in December

12 weekly mentorship calls across approximately 14 calendar weeks, with a two-week break over Christmas and New Year.

Hi, I'm Felicity

I created CEP for one simple reason: I know how it feels to be you.

I know how it feels to love your horse but know deep down that you both aren't happy. I was once a struggling rider with big dreams, a nervous horse, inconsistent rides, zero groundwork abilities and no clear strategy to help either of us feel more confident and relaxed.

I'd been around horses for years, but I quickly learned a massive lesson: you can have all the lessons in the world, but unless you know how to set yourself and your horse up for success from the ground up, it's very difficult to have the happy, consistent and trusting relationship you both deserve.

So I set off on a mission to learn everything I could, in an effort to transform my relationship with my horses.

Along the way I was able to cultivate incredible connections with my horses, support sensitive horses to feel more relaxed and help shut-down horses open up, often within a short period of time. Shorty, the horse I'd always called hot and spooky, started asking for scratches after 13 years together.

People kept asking how they could experience the same transformations with their own horses, so I put together a program to teach my signature methodology in a grounded, compassionate, intuitive way. Over the past six years, more than 1,200 horse lovers have learned this work with me through my mentorship programs and courses.

CEP gives you the practical skills, the understanding and the deeper support you need at every stage of your compassionate horsemanship journey.

See you in there, Felicity x

You can start before you feel ready

In application after application, women tell me, "I'm not getting any younger" and "I'm tired of being stuck."

I understand both.

I spent a long time feeling torn between what I knew deep down I wanted for myself and my horses, and what felt familiar and safe.

Looking back, I'm so grateful I eventually gave myself permission to explore a different way, even though I didn't have all the answers or know exactly where it would lead.

And if there's a part of you that knows you're ready to explore what's possible for yourself and your horse, I'd love to support you.

The December round starts the week of the 30th of November.

You'll have a small group of women expecting you each week and me beside you on 12 live calls while you work with your own horse.

By the first week of March you'll understand what your horse has been telling you, and you'll know what to do next.

Early bird: $1,255 USD or 4 payments of $388, until 12pm AEDT Tuesday the 10th of November (8pm EST Monday the 9th of November)
